The 5/8" width is perfect for my small terrier — wide enough to hold tags without rubbing her neck raw like the skinnier collars did. The metal D-ring hasn't bent once, even when she lunges at squirrels.
The all metal hardware feels way sturdier than the plastic buckles I've dealt with before, no flex at all when my dog pulls. Nylon webbing has held up fine through a few rainy walks so far.
The 5/8" width is perfect for my mid-sized pup—it sits comfortably without digging into his fur, and the heavy nylon feels like it can handle all his pulling. After a month of daily walks and the occasional muddy roll, it still looks and holds up like new.
