Thorn Training Dumbbell

The channel down the middle is cut just deep enough that my pup finally aims for the center instead of gnawing on the edges. It’s taken three sessions and he’s already gripping it right every time.

After training with a tug toy for weeks, my dog still aimed for the sides every time. First session with this dumbbell and he actually locked onto the middle section, which is exactly what the design encourages. The grip is solid and hasn't slipped once, so the correction is working.

My pup kept chomping the edges of every other dumbbell we tried, but this one's design finally got him to bite dead center. The middle section feels sturdy and the shape guides his mouth perfectly, so our retrieve sessions are way more productive now.
